BEFORE YOU HIT THE 'PAY NOW' BUTTON

Look for sites that have a full limited company name that you can look up on Companies House and a VAT number.

* Avoid sites where the "contact us" button takes you to an online email form.

* Avoid sites based abroad. You might find it difficulties reclaiming your money if they don't provide your tickets or a refund.

*Try filling in an application form with false details and see if its accepted. If the site is dodgy it will return an e-mail acceptance with any details filled in;

* Stick to the "primary agents", companies like See Tickets, Ticketline UK, Ticketmaster , Ticketweb, Gigs and Tours, Piccadilly Box Office/Ticketline, Lastminute.com, Seatem/Keith Prowse , Gigantic and Stargreen.
